Overview

This skill generates complete App Store listing documentation for iOS and macOS apps with built-in multilingual support (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese). It produces title, subtitle, description, keywords, and optional promotional text or release notes while validating character limits. The output is formatted for direct use in App Store Connect or to save as a markdown file.

How this skill works

I gather core app details (name, purpose, key features, target audience, locales) then draft an English listing that follows App Store guidelines and character limits. Next I create professional Chinese localizations (zh-Hans, zh-Hant), check title/subtitle/keywords length, and format the content into a structured markdown output. Optionally I add promotional text and release notes in all three languages.

When to use it

  • Creating a new App Store listing for an iOS or macOS app
  • Generating multilingual descriptions (EN, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese)
  • Preparing app metadata: title, subtitle, keywords, and description
  • Writing release notes or promotional text for updates or launches
  • When you ask: “generate appstore info”, “create app listing”, or “write app description”

Best practices

  • Provide a concise app purpose (1–2 sentences) and 3–6 key features to ensure focused copy
  • Prioritize the most important keywords and avoid repeating words from the title
  • Keep title and subtitle within 30 characters and keywords under 100 characters
  • Use a strong 1–2 sentence hook at the start of the description to improve visibility
  • Translate meaning, not literal words, for zh-Hans and zh-Hant to match local conventions
  • Request screenshots and category suggestions separately for full App Store readiness

Example use cases

  • You have a new productivity app and need an English + Chinese App Store listing to publish
  • Preparing a localized marketing update including release notes and promotional text
  • Refreshing app metadata to improve discoverability with optimized keywords and hook
  • Exporting a ready-to-upload markdown file with validated character limits for review
  • Creating alternative subtitle and keyword sets for A/B testing in different regions
