How this skill works

I gather user details (experience, education, skills, target role) or parse an uploaded resume, then select the best format based on career context. Best practices

  • Choose chronological for clear career progression; use functional for gaps or career changes
  • Match language and keywords to the target job description without keyword stuffing
  • Keep formatting ATS-friendly: no tables, text boxes, or images; use plain headers and bullets
  • Lead bullets with measurable achievements and action verbs; quantify impact when possible
  • Save descriptive filenames and provide a single-page or two-page PDF depending on experience level

Example use cases

  • New graduate builds a one-page chronological resume optimized for internships

  • Career changer uses a functional resume to highlight transferable skills and downplay gaps
  • Applicant tailors their resume to a specific job description and exports an ATS-friendly PDF
