## Notes
- Bridge must be on local network
- First run requires button press on Hue bridge to pair
- Colors only work on color-capable bulbs (not white-only)
This skill lets you control Philips Hue lights and scenes using the OpenHue CLI. It provides direct commands to list lights, rooms, and scenes and to change power state, brightness, color, and color temperature. It requires a Hue Bridge on your local network and initial pairing with the bridge button.
OpenHue issues commands to the Hue Bridge over your local network, targeting individual lights, rooms, zones, or predefined scenes. You can set power on/off, brightness (0–100), color temperature (Mirek values), and RGB/ named colors for color-capable bulbs. Scenes can be activated for specific rooms and quick presets combine common settings for bedtime, work, or movie modes.
Do colors work on every Philips Hue bulb?
No. Color commands only work on color-capable bulbs; white-only bulbs will ignore color changes.
What do I need to do before the first run?
Make sure the Hue Bridge is on your local network and press its physical button during the initial pairing step.
