This skill initializes a Conductor project workspace by interactively creating core context artifacts: product.md, product-guidelines.md, tech-stack.md, code styleguides, and workflow.md. It manages state so setup can be paused and resumed, and validates existing conductor/ content before making changes. The flow supports both Greenfield (new) and Brownfield (existing) projects.
On start it checks for a conductor/ directory and a conductor/setup_state.json to decide whether to resume or begin. It runs a sequential Q&A for project type, product context, technical stack, and guidelines, saving progress after each answer using TodoWrite rules. When complete it generates the required files, copies a workflow.md template, creates tracks.md, and marks setup_state.json as complete.
What if conductor/ already contains a complete setup?
The skill checks setup_state.json and will ask whether to re-initialize or abort to avoid overwriting completed work.
Can I pause and resume the setup?
Yes. The skill saves state after each answer to conductor/setup_state.json and will resume from the last incomplete section when restarted.
