This skill is a debugging assistant that uses claudemem's AST-based context command to locate bugs, trace call chains, and perform root cause and impact analysis. It accelerates investigations by showing symbol definitions, callers, and callees together so you can quickly find where failures originate and what else might be affected. Ideal for engineers doing incident response, regression fixes, or targeted debugging.
It inspects the codebase index produced by claudemem and runs AST queries to return the symbol definition, backward call chain (callers), and forward dependencies (callees). The core command is claudemem --agent context <name>, with callers and callees available separately for focused traces. Results are used to build a reproducible call chain, identify state mutations, and map blast radius for test coverage and remediation planning.
What if claudemem returns no callers?
Zero callers can mean an entry point, dead code, or a dynamically-invoked function. Confirm index freshness, reindex if needed, and consider event-driven callsites that static analysis may not show.
What if claudemem fails or errors out?
Stop and run claudemem status. Report the failure and ask to reindex or try an alternative function name; never silently switch to grep without user approval.
