# Learn

Learn from current session

## Capabilities

- consolidate learnings from conversation and persist it in learnings log
- organize learnings into the appropriate skill

## Guidelines

1. summarize key learnings

Overview

This skill captures and organizes lessons from the current conversation and stores them in a persistent learnings log. It transforms session dialogue into concise, actionable entries and assigns them to the appropriate skill area for future retrieval.

How this skill works

The skill inspects the session transcript, extracts key facts, decisions, preferences, and action items, then summarizes each learning in a short, consistent format. It tags and categorizes entries by topic or skill, timestamps them, and appends them to a persistent log for later search and reuse.

When to use it

  • At the end of an interactive session to preserve decisions and next steps.
  • When gathering user preferences to personalize future interactions.
  • While building a knowledge base from repeated conversations.
  • During handoffs between agents or team members to keep context.
  • When iterating on agent behavior and tracking outcomes over time.

Best practices

  • Summarize learnings in one or two clear sentences to keep the log scannable.
  • Tag each entry with a skill/topic and minimal metadata (source, timestamp).
  • Distinguish facts, decisions, and action items explicitly in the entry.
  • Review and prune the log periodically to remove duplicates and stale items.
  • Verify sensitive information before persisting and follow privacy rules.

Example use cases

  • Capture meeting outcomes: decisions, owners, and deadlines after a planning call.
  • Record user preferences (tone, format, favorites) to personalize responses later.
  • Log bug reports or feature requests discussed during a troubleshooting session.
  • Collect onboarding notes for a new user so subsequent agents retain context.
  • Aggregate recurring lessons from multiple sessions to refine agent training.

FAQ

Can I edit or remove learnings after they are saved?

Yes. Entries should be editable and deletable so inaccurate or outdated items can be corrected.

How does the skill decide which skill area to assign an entry to?

It uses topic tags and simple heuristics based on keywords and context; manual reassignment is supported for edge cases.
