## KEY CONCEPTS

### Reactive Wrapper Pattern

**Why needed**: Forms need to integrate with parent state while maintaining reactive updates.

How this skill works

You define a FormConfig with a Zod schema, initial data, validation mode, debounce, and an onSubmit handler. The createFormReducer manages FormState through FormAction events (fieldChanged, fieldBlurred, submit, reset, etc.). Components use a reactive wrapper to expose a local form store that dispatches scoped actions back to the parent reducer. The system handles sync and async validation, populates field-level errors, and emits submission lifecycle events parents can observe.

When to use it

  • Building forms that must validate with Zod and show field-level errors.
  • Handling async validators like username or email availability.
  • Integrating form state into a parent reducer or larger app state.

  • Use the integrated mode and the reactive wrapper pattern so parent reducers can observe form events.

  • Debounce change validation (e.g., 300–500ms) to avoid excessive async calls.
