Flyworks MCP provides a convenient interface for creating lipsynced videos using digital avatars. It connects to the Flyworks API to generate lipsync animations for a variety of avatar styles, including realistic and cartoon characters, by combining video footage with audio input.
httpx
and mcp[cli]
Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/yourusername/flyworks-mcp.git
cd flyworks-mcp
Install the necessary dependencies:
pip install httpx "mcp[cli]>=1.6.0"
Alternatively, you can use uv
:
uv pip install httpx "mcp[cli]>=1.6.0"
To prevent timeout issues during server startup, consider pre-installing all required packages:
pip install pygments pydantic-core httpx "mcp[cli]>=1.6.0"
Set your Flyworks API token as an environment variable before running the server:
# Linux/macOS
export FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN="your_token_here"
# Windows (Command Prompt)
set FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN=your_token_here
# Windows (PowerShell)
$env:FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN="your_token_here"
You can also create a .env
file with your token.
Note: A free trial token 2aeda3bcefac46a3
is available with limited daily quota. Free trial videos will be watermarked and limited to 45 seconds. For full access, contact [email protected].
Start the server with:
python server.py
Install the server using the MCP tool:
mcp install /path/to/server.py
Edit the Claude Desktop configuration file (claude_desktop_config.json
):
{
"mcpServers": {
"flyworks": {
"command": "python",
"args": ["/path/to/server.py"],
"env": {
"FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN": "your_api_token_here"
}
}
}
}
Add to Cursor's MCP configuration:
{
"mcpServers": {
"flyworks": {
"command": "python",
"args": ["/path/to/server.py"],
"env": {
"FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN": "your_api_token_here"
}
}
}
}
Use the create_lipsync_video
tool to generate a lipsynced video by providing:
The tool returns a job_id
that you can use to check the status of the processing job.
After submitting a lipsync job, use the inspect_job_status
tool with the job_id
to monitor progress and retrieve the final video:
video_Url
will be provided to download the generated videoImportant: The video URL is temporary, so download your video promptly after completion.
To add this MCP server to Claude Code, run this command in your terminal:
claude mcp add-json "flyworks" '{"command":"python","args":["/path/to/server.py"],"env":{"FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN":"your_api_token_here"}}'
See the official Claude Code MCP documentation for more details.
There are two ways to add an MCP server to Cursor. The most common way is to add the server globally in the ~/.cursor/mcp.json
file so that it is available in all of your projects.
If you only need the server in a single project, you can add it to the project instead by creating or adding it to the .cursor/mcp.json
file.
To add a global MCP server go to Cursor Settings > Tools & Integrations and click "New MCP Server".
When you click that button the ~/.cursor/mcp.json
file will be opened and you can add your server like this:
{
"mcpServers": {
"flyworks": {
"command": "python",
"args": [
"/path/to/server.py"
],
"env": {
"FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN": "your_api_token_here"
}
}
}
}
To add an MCP server to a project you can create a new .cursor/mcp.json
file or add it to the existing one. This will look exactly the same as the global MCP server example above.
Once the server is installed, you might need to head back to Settings > MCP and click the refresh button.
The Cursor agent will then be able to see the available tools the added MCP server has available and will call them when it needs to.
You can also explicitly ask the agent to use the tool by mentioning the tool name and describing what the function does.
To add this MCP server to Claude Desktop:
1. Find your configuration file:
~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
~/.config/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
2. Add this to your configuration file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"flyworks": {
"command": "python",
"args": [
"/path/to/server.py"
],
"env": {
"FLYWORKS_API_TOKEN": "your_api_token_here"
}
}
}
}
3. Restart Claude Desktop for the changes to take effect
