This MCP server implementation allows AI models to access and analyze Kayzen advertising campaign data through a standardized interface. It handles authentication, report management, and provides a clean API for interacting with Kayzen Analytics.
Install the package using npm:
npm install @feedmob-ai/kayzen-mcp
Set up your Kayzen credentials by creating a .env
file:
KAYZEN_USERNAME=your_username
KAYZEN_PASSWORD=your_password
KAYZEN_BASIC_AUTH=your_basic_auth_token
KAYZEN_BASE_URL=https://api.kayzen.io/v1 # Optional, defaults to this value
Import and initialize the server:
import { KayzenMCPServer } from '@feedmob-ai/kayzen-mcp';
const server = new KayzenMCPServer();
server.start();
The list_reports
tool retrieves all available reports from Kayzen Analytics:
const reports = await server.tools.list_reports();
The returned data includes:
id
: Report identifiername
: Report nametype
: Report typeRetrieve results for a specific report using the get_report_results
tool:
const results = await server.tools.get_report_results({
report_id: 'report_id',
start_date: '2024-01-01', // optional
end_date: '2024-01-31' // optional
});
The server provides a tool to analyze report results and provide insights:
const analysis = await server.tools.analyze_report_results({
report_id: 'report_id'
});
The analysis includes:
To use this MCP server with Claude Desktop, add the following to your claude_desktop_config.json
:
{
"mcpServers": {
"github": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"@feedmob-ai/kayzen-mcp"
],
"env": {
"KAYZEN_USERNAME": "username",
"KAYZEN_PASSWORD": "pasword",
"KAYZEN_BASIC_AUTH": "auth token"
}
}
}
}
To add this MCP server to Claude Code, run this command in your terminal:
claude mcp add-json "github" '{"command":"npx","args":["-y","@feedmob-ai/kayzen-mcp"],"env":{"KAYZEN_USERNAME":"username","KAYZEN_PASSWORD":"pasword","KAYZEN_BASIC_AUTH":"auth token"}}'
See the official Claude Code MCP documentation for more details.
There are two ways to add an MCP server to Cursor. The most common way is to add the server globally in the ~/.cursor/mcp.json
file so that it is available in all of your projects.
If you only need the server in a single project, you can add it to the project instead by creating or adding it to the .cursor/mcp.json
file.
To add a global MCP server go to Cursor Settings > Tools & Integrations and click "New MCP Server".
When you click that button the ~/.cursor/mcp.json
file will be opened and you can add your server like this:
{
"mcpServers": {
"github": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"@feedmob-ai/kayzen-mcp"
],
"env": {
"KAYZEN_USERNAME": "username",
"KAYZEN_PASSWORD": "pasword",
"KAYZEN_BASIC_AUTH": "auth token"
}
}
}
}
To add an MCP server to a project you can create a new .cursor/mcp.json
file or add it to the existing one. This will look exactly the same as the global MCP server example above.
Once the server is installed, you might need to head back to Settings > MCP and click the refresh button.
The Cursor agent will then be able to see the available tools the added MCP server has available and will call them when it needs to.
You can also explicitly ask the agent to use the tool by mentioning the tool name and describing what the function does.
To add this MCP server to Claude Desktop:

2. Add this to your configuration file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"github": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [

"KAYZEN_USERNAME": "username",
"KAYZEN_PASSWORD": "pasword",
"KAYZEN_BASIC_AUTH": "auth token"
}
}
}
}
