This server implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for the Jampp Reporting API, allowing you to access and analyze your Jampp advertising data directly through Claude desktop. The MCP server authenticates with the Jampp API and provides a seamless integration for data analysis.

Installation and Setup

Requirements

  • Claude Desktop (latest version)
  • Node.js environment for running the server
  • Jampp API credentials (client ID and secret)

Configuration with Claude Desktop

To use the Jampp Reporting MCP server with Claude Desktop:

  1. Ensure you have installed and updated to the latest version of Claude for Desktop
  2. Locate and open the Claude Desktop configuration file:
    • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
    • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
  3. Add the Jampp MCP server to the configuration file by adding or modifying the mcpServers section:
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "jampp": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [ "-y", "@feedmob/jampp-reporting" ],
      "env": {
        "JAMPP_CLIENT_ID": "your_client_id",
        "JAMPP_CLIENT_SECRET": "your_client_secret"
      }
    }
  }
}

API Credentials

Replace the placeholder values in the configuration:

  • your_client_id: Your Jampp API client ID
  • your_client_secret: Your Jampp API client secret

Using the MCP Server

After configuration:

  1. Restart Claude Desktop to apply the changes
  2. The MCP server will automatically start when needed
  3. In conversations with Claude, you can now reference and analyze your Jampp data

Example Prompts

You can ask Claude questions like:

  • "Show me our campaign performance for the last 7 days"
  • "What were our top-performing ad sets last month?"
  • "Compare our conversion rates across different regions"
  • "Create a visualization of our daily ad spend"

The MCP server will handle the authentication and data retrieval behind the scenes, allowing Claude to present the information in a useful format.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues:

  • Verify your Jampp API credentials are correct
  • Check that Claude Desktop has the latest updates
  • Ensure your claude_desktop_config.json file has valid JSON syntax
  • Restart Claude Desktop after making configuration changes

How to install this MCP server

For Claude Code

To add this MCP server to Claude Code, run this command in your terminal:

claude mcp add-json "jampp" '{"command":"npx","args":["-y","@feedmob/jampp-reporting"],"env":{"JAMPP_CLIENT_ID":"your_client_id","JAMPP_CLIENT_SECRET":"your_client_secret"}}'

See the official Claude Code MCP documentation for more details.

For Cursor

There are two ways to add an MCP server to Cursor. The most common way is to add the server globally in the ~/.cursor/mcp.json file so that it is available in all of your projects.

If you only need the server in a single project, you can add it to the project instead by creating or adding it to the .cursor/mcp.json file.

Adding an MCP server to Cursor globally

To add a global MCP server go to Cursor Settings > Tools & Integrations and click "New MCP Server".

When you click that button the ~/.cursor/mcp.json file will be opened and you can add your server like this:

{
    "mcpServers": {
        "jampp": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",
                "@feedmob/jampp-reporting"
            ],
            "env": {
                "JAMPP_CLIENT_ID": "your_client_id",
                "JAMPP_CLIENT_SECRET": "your_client_secret"
            }
        }
    }
}

Adding an MCP server to a project

To add an MCP server to a project you can create a new .cursor/mcp.json file or add it to the existing one. This will look exactly the same as the global MCP server example above.

How to use the MCP server

Once the server is installed, you might need to head back to Settings > MCP and click the refresh button.

The Cursor agent will then be able to see the available tools the added MCP server has available and will call them when it needs to.

You can also explicitly ask the agent to use the tool by mentioning the tool name and describing what the function does.

For Claude Desktop

To add this MCP server to Claude Desktop:

1. Find your configuration file:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
  • Linux: ~/.config/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

2. Add this to your configuration file:

{
    "mcpServers": {
        "jampp": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": [
                "-y",
                "@feedmob/jampp-reporting"
            ],
            "env": {
                "JAMPP_CLIENT_ID": "your_client_id",
                "JAMPP_CLIENT_SECRET": "your_client_secret"
            }
        }
    }
}

3. Restart Claude Desktop for the changes to take effect
