The MCP Jupiter server provides Claude with the ability to interact with Jupiter's swap API on the Solana blockchain. It allows Claude to get token swap quotes, build swap transactions, and send transactions directly through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server implementation.
There are multiple ways to install and run the MCP Jupiter server:
git clone https://github.com/dcSpark/mcp-server-jupiter.git
cd mcp-server-jupiter
npm ci
npm run build
You can install the package globally:
npm install -g @mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-jupiter
Run directly without installing:
npx @mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-jupiter
To enable Claude to use this MCP server:
Open Claude Desktop
Locate the Claude Desktop configuration file:
~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
~/.config/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
Add the MCP server configuration:
For locally cloned repository:
{
"mcpServers": {
"mcp-server-jupiter": {
"command": "node",
"args": [
"/path/to/your/mcp-server-jupiter/build/index.js"
]
}
}
}
For globally installed package or npx:
{
"mcpServers": {
"mcp-server-jupiter": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"@mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-jupiter"
]
}
}
}
Depending on your installation method:
# If installed locally
node build/index.js
# If installed globally
mcp-server-jupiter
# Using npx
npx @mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-jupiter
After configuring and restarting Claude Desktop, Claude will have access to the following Jupiter swap tools:
Ask Claude something like:
What's the quote for swapping 1 SOL to USDC?
Claude will use the jupiter_get_quote
tool to interact with Jupiter's API and provide you with current swap rates.
After getting a quote, you can ask Claude to build a transaction:
Build a swap transaction for the quote I just got.
Claude will use the jupiter_build_swap_transaction
tool to create a transaction based on the previously obtained quote.
To execute a swap, ask Claude:
Send the swap transaction I just built.
Claude will use the jupiter_send_swap_transaction
tool to submit the transaction to the Solana blockchain through Jupiter.
These interactions allow you to perform complete token swap operations on Jupiter without leaving your Claude Desktop interface.
To add this MCP server to Claude Code, run this command in your terminal:
claude mcp add-json "mcp-server-jupiter" '{"command":"npx","args":["@mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-jupiter"]}'
See the official Claude Code MCP documentation for more details.
There are two ways to add an MCP server to Cursor. The most common way is to add the server globally in the ~/.cursor/mcp.json
file so that it is available in all of your projects.
If you only need the server in a single project, you can add it to the project instead by creating or adding it to the .cursor/mcp.json
file.
To add a global MCP server go to Cursor Settings > Tools & Integrations and click "New MCP Server".
When you click that button the ~/.cursor/mcp.json
file will be opened and you can add your server like this:
{
"mcpServers": {
"mcp-server-jupiter": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"@mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-jupiter"
]
}
}
}
To add an MCP server to a project you can create a new .cursor/mcp.json
file or add it to the existing one. This will look exactly the same as the global MCP server example above.
Once the server is installed, you might need to head back to Settings > MCP and click the refresh button.
The Cursor agent will then be able to see the available tools the added MCP server has available and will call them when it needs to.
You can also explicitly ask the agent to use the tool by mentioning the tool name and describing what the function does.
To add this MCP server to Claude Desktop:
1. Find your configuration file:
~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
~/.config/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
2. Add this to your configuration file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"mcp-server-jupiter": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"@mcp-dockmaster/mcp-server-jupiter"
]
}
}
}
3. Restart Claude Desktop for the changes to take effect
