	Luis 18% of story Stage 4 - Intermediate Reader My name is Luis, I'm 15 years old, and I live for soccer. I am a great soccer player, and sometimes I am the team captain. I live with my grandmother, and she takes good care of me. She is a very wise old woman, but she is always telling me things I don't understand.
	Grandmother 10% of story Stage 5 - Advanced Reader I am Luis's grandmother. I love him dearly and watch over him. Luis can be stubborn and he doesn't always listen, but he is a special boy. I think God has plans for Luis . yes . important plans!
	Alejandro 11% of story Stage 3 - Transitional Reader I am Alejandro Ortiz and I'm 15 years old. I love to play soccer, and I am the team captain most of the time. Everyone wants Mexico to win the World Cup, and they think I will be the one to help make that happen. I don't know about that, but I sure don't want to let anyone down, so I will always play my best.
	Miss Garcia 7% of story Stage 3 - Transitional Reader I teach High School math, and I'm a big soccer fan. Everyone in Mexico is a soccer fan, but I think I like it even more than most. I love to watch soccer practice and I've never missed a game. It's so exciting to see everyone chanting for the players. You can always hear me cheering from the stands. (in a high voice) Wahooooo! Wahooooo! Wahooooo!
	Coach Torres 11% of story Stage 4 - Intermediate Reader (blows whistle) Attention, everyone! I am a soccer coach. I am tough, but that's only because soccer is the most important sport ever invented. I mean, what other sports are there that can measure up? None! (blows whistle) Now listen carefully! When it's time to chant and cheer for my players, everyone must clap their hands and stomp their feet. Then will score the goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal!
