Roberta My name is Roberta, but my brother and sister call me Bobbie. As the oldest child in the house, I have many responsibilities. I especially need to take care of my younger sister, Phyllis. Mother has a lot to deal with these days, and I really want to help her out by keeping things tidy around the house, and making sure we all behave. It's a difficult job.

Hullo, I'm Peter, and I just love trains! I want to be an engineer when I grow up, so I can drive the trains and see the world. There is so much out there we haven't seen, and I am curious to know what I'm missing. I think Bobbie needs to be a bit less serious and have a little fun. That's what life is all about, having fun!

Phyllis                                                                                 9% of story

I'm Phil, well actually my real name is Phyllis, but I hate it, so everyone calls me Phil. I agree with Peter, life is all about having fun. That's why I like to go to the pond and catch tadpoles and frogs. Peter and I play together a lot, and some people say I'm a tomboy, but I don't care. I'd rather wear my old, comfortable clothes than a fussy dress any day! Just don't tell that to Mother!

Hullo, my name is Caroline. I am Roberta, Peter, and Phyllis's mother. My three darling children are growing up so quickly right before my eyes. It's hard to believe they were all little babies in my arms just a few years ago. I write stories, and love to read them to the children. I hope one day a publisher will see my work and want to publish a book of stories written by me. Wouldn't that be something!

Good mornin'. Perks is the name, an' I work at the train station. I'm what ya' call a porter. I met these kids a while back, and, oh my, what a jolly bunch. I love when they come ta' visit ol' Perks. I have kiddies of my own, but they aren't as interested in what I have ta' say most the time. Well, enough of that, I've got ta' get back ta' work. See ya' later!
