A Comedy of Errors
About the Author

William Shakespeare

One of the best-known names in literature is that of William Shakespeare. His literary works have survived for over four hundred years, and have influenced the creations of countless other authors. Shakespeare was born on either the 22nd or the 23rd of April, 1564 in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England. He received his education at the local school, and after graduating, chose not to pursue additional avenues of learning.

There is a period of nine years between the time Shakespeare graduated from school and the writing of his first play. There is speculation as to what Shakespeare did during this time. Some say he was a law clerk and some say that he just traveled all over England. Shakespeare was married in 1582 to Anne Hathaway, and during their life together they had three children: Susanna, Hamnet, and Judith. It is believed that Shakespeare wrote The Comedy of Errors around 1593, about eight years after the birth of his twin son and daughter. The Bard penned numerous plays, sonnets, and poems during the 52 years of his lifetime. William Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616.

About the Illustrator

Antonio Nilo

Pedro Antonio López was born on September 19th, 1978 in the small town of Santurce, Puerto Rico. As a child, the people around him would always notice his innate drawing talent, and his love for art was merely evident. It was not until his teen years that he decided to take his first art class. Taught by the renown Puerto Rican artist, Olga Lang, he was then introduced, among other things, to the art of acrylic and oil paintings. Afraid that perhaps, being an artist was not much of a profitable occupation in his homeland, he decided to see his art as just another one of his hobbies.

Having graduated from highschool as an outstanding student, he went on to begin his studies in pre-pharmacy at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. But his love for the arts proved too strong, and after two years, he decided to seize his dreams, and move to Florida to start studying what he was ultimately passionate about. In 2000, he graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Since then, he has worked successfully as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.
